Laura Hummel spent a year abroad at the renowned Eric Sahlström Institute in Sweden, studying with the leading masters of the nyckelharpa and Swedish folk music traditions.

Her background in multiple genres of music coupled with the fact that she plays violin, Hardanger fiddle, and nyckelharpa gives Laura a perspective on music which is perfectly suited to the forward looking new traditional direction of Nordensong.
