Karl Fredrik Lundeberg
A former Columbia Records recording artist, Composer-in-Residence for the Mark Taper Forum at the Los Angeles Music Center for seventeen years, and a composer and performer whose artistic collaborations run the gamut from John Cage to Gerry Goffin, Susan Sontag to Steve Martin, Sir Peter Hall to Sir David Hare… he has performed and/or recorded with Miroslav Vitous, Steve Gadd, Gilberto Gil, and Eddie Gomez among countless others.
His music has been performed at the Mitsui Festival in Japan, the Biennale Festival in Venice, the Next Wave Festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Karl has performed throughout the US and Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil and has composed music scores for film, television, theater and ballet productions throughout the world.
Growing up in Washington DC, England, and Norway, he has lived in New York and Los Angeles for the past thirty years. Karl Lundeberg has consistently worked with the leading figures in each musical medium in which he has distinguished himself and now with his new group Nordensong, Karl returns to the East Coast and back to the roots of his childhood music for a new fresh look at the traditional music of his Norwegian/Swedish heritage.
